Brooklyn's kindergarten class has adopted some "grandparents" at the nursing home. They have gone 3 times this year and they perform a short singing program for the residents. They have been exchanging notes in a booklet she will get to keep. And each time they exchange a small gift. I thought it was such a cute thing. The kids get so excited each time they go and you can tell the "grandparent" are excited to have them visit. I think it's a wonderful opportunity to teach these children friendship and compassion.
