Brooklyn's big day

So my baby turned 7 on July 25th (slow at posting). She had a fun birthday that's for sure. I can't believe she is already 7 and starts 2nd grade in a month. She is such a girly girl and loves all the things that go into being a girl. She has a big heart and loves to give hugs and kisses. She is a little spoiled and still has moments of acting like a 2 year old... but we love her for better and for worse and are so glad she is part of our family!!

We started out by making her cake which you can see she loved licking the beater.


She received some fun presents... her big present was her Nintendo DS. She has been saving her money for this since her last birthday and had saved $76 and so we made up the difference as her present. She was very surprised as I had told her many time she had to save all the money for it. She got a little purse to keep it in and all the extras and games in. She has been playing it obsessivly.


Since it was Sunday we invited family over for a BBQ. Here are a few of her cousins enjoying a hot dog or hamburger.

We sang happy birthday and she blew out all her candles!! yay!!

The next day she had her friend party at the bowling alley. I worried about doing it on a Monday, but the local bowling alley is only open on mon, fri, and sat after 5 pm. But it seemed fine and everyone she invited was able to come! I think they all had a fun time.

All that bowling sure worked up an appetite for cupcakes!!
